May I suggest a 3-day fast? It will clean out your system pretty well, detoxify you, etc. and you'll feel a little better possibly. Ten days is really, really long. Three is long enough to get delirious! I've done it and it is extremely hard. Even for a person like me who doesn't love food. But it feels pretty good and gets you into a kind of cool, transcendant kind of place. Good luck!

Have you considered the low-carb diets? I did one two weeks before my sister's wedding (in order to not have to wear a "gut sucker"), and lost about 10 lbs. I eat pretty healthy anyway, so I haven't gained any of that back (in 2 years). Of course, now I'm doing Weight Watchers for the longer haul.
